Due to safety concerns, impact on the community, availability of canoes, and other circumstances, the Board and registration committee have recently evaluated the number of paddlers that Lanikai Canoe Club is able to successfully accommodate during the regatta season.

We have made the determination to cap the total number of paddlers this year to ensure that the season is a wonderful and safe experience for all paddlers and coaches. This was not an easy decision to make, but has been done in your best interest.

Paddlers will only be activated and included on a roster when all dues and fees have been completely paid and a registration form and waiver signed. Only these paddlers will be allowed into a canoe to practice. All paperwork must be completed in a timely fashion in order to register you with OHCRA, which will allow you to race.

We urge all paddlers to attend one of the registration dates listed below to ensure that you are part of Lanikai’s winning tradition!

REGISTRATION LOCATION:

Registration will be held at Lanikai Park on the corner of 'A'alapapa and Kai 'Olena on the following days:

Saturday, March 8 (8:00am–12:00noon)

Sunday, March 9 (1:00-5:00pm)

Saturday, March 29 (1:00-5:00pm)

Sunday, March 30 (8:00am-12:00noon)

HOW TO REGISTER:

Complete paperwork and full payment are needed to register. ALL PADDLERS ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING TO BE REGISTERED TO PADDLE:

Lanikai Canoe Club registration form*

2008-09 HCRA Waiver

OHCRA Emergency Contact Form

Complete payment of dues and any initiation fees and ID card fees (see below)

Xerox copy of ID showing correct name, birth date and gender**

Digital headshot photo (no hats or sunglasses) for HCRA ID card (photos will be taken at registration)**

* Registration forms, and HCRA waivers will also be available at registration.
**Returning paddlers will have this information on file.

Outside of registration days, completed paperwork can be left in the drop box on the longhouse door that faces towards the park.

DUES/FEES STRUCTURE:

Registration dues DURING THESE FOUR REGISTRATION DAYS ONLY.

Adult - $180.00

Youth - $140.00 (18 years and under)

Family - $285.00 (covers 2 paddlers - husband/wife or parent/child)*

*Additional family members are discounted 15% from the individual paddler price

After 12:00noon on March 30th, dues increase by $25.00 per paddler.

Initiation fee for brand new paddlers to LCC:

$10.00 for adults

$5.00 for youth

$15.00 for family.

You may now make your payment online via PayPal which will allow you to pay online safely and securely by credit card or directly from your bank account. There is a transaction fee of $8.00 per transaction. Paperwork will still need to be turned in at registration.

The total amount due will be:

Registration Dues (per fee scheule above)
+ Initiation Fee (if applicable)
+ $8.00 (transaction fee)

ONCE PRACTICE STARTS, CHECK WITH YOUR COACH TO BE SURE ALL OF YOUR PAPERWORK IS IN – EVERYTHING MUST BE COMPLETED IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE TO RACE!
