George Perry Memorial Keiki Race
2024-05-08T20:20:01-10:00The first George Perry Memorial Na Keiki O Na Waa was held in 1996, organized by LCC former club president Mauli Olds Aspelund, who was coached by George as a youth. George was a true believer in youth. In 1952, he spent a full year working with youth to hewn a gifted koa log, and build, and finish Kehukai! In 1959, George and a very young Lanikai crew entered their first Molokai to Oahu race, known back then as MO'OAHU, coming in fourth place in that canoe. LEARN MORE! >>>
